I am a birth doula, lactation consultant, yoga instructor, and most importantly, a mother. I am your partner in this endeavor, your goals are my goals. We will work together to come up with a realistic framework for your success.
I grew up living around the world in Bangkok, East Africa, India and Canada and currently reside in Brooklyn with my two daughters, husband and two cats.
as a doula…
I have supported births in several NYC hospitals, birth centers and homes. I provide individualized care and meet my clients where they are at to help them experience birth in a way they define it. I am honored to witness the incredible power of birthing people as they bring their babies into this world and transition to parenthood. I co-led the “Save the Birthing Center” advocacy team’s effort to protest the closing of NYC’s only in-hospital birth center. I served on the leadership council and coordinated doula services at a NYC public Hospital for The Doula Project, a non-profit dedicated to providing full spectrum doula access to all birthing people. as a lactation consultant…
I provide vital care in the first hours right after birth and early postpartum days and weeks at home to help establish healthy breast/chest feeding relationships and habits. I am an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). In addition to one-on-one support I also host postpartum lactation support circles.
as a yoga teacher…
My yoga practice grounds my birth-work and allows me to be fully present for my clients. I believe in the benefits of yoga for ALL people and encourage my students to tap into their own wisdom as they explore all aspects of the yoga practice. I run prenatal workshops for pregnancy and preparation for labor and delivery, a time when mindfulness, breath and body awareness are so important. I teach group and also private prenatal yoga to prepare for labor and birth.
